My painting and drawing classes are self-directed for over 18's, and they are ongoing throughout the year at West Heath and Harborne. Bournville is term time only. Everyone does their own thing. It's for complete beginners right up to advanced. No one gets left behind, and the first class is always free.

I am a qualified art teacher who can offer help and advice to enable you to achieve your goals. My background is in teaching Foundation Diploma in Art & Design and mentoring at Birmingham City University and Cadbury College. You can have as much or little help as you choose - after all, you are all adults and have minds of your own, but sometimes we all need a little help, including me.

Students bring their own equipment and materials. I do have a small stash of stuff if you forget anything. I also make a cuppa for all students on arrival. However, there is a coffee hub at Bournville at very competitive prices.

Enhanced cleaning takes place before sessions, and all I ask is for you to sanitise your own workstation before leaving with the wipes provided. The centre still encourages mask-wearing in enclosed spaces and handwashing. As you know, masks are optional (unless government guidelines change). I can also print out images as long as you email them to me at least a day before the session.

If you do intend to pop in - please let me know the night before or a few hours before the class if you intend to come - just in case the unexpected happens!
